New community documentation portal released
The Model Documentation and Transparency working group has released a rebuilt documentation portal, with a common structure for describing model scope, versions and assumptions.

Reproducible figures of the IPCC AR6 WG1 SPM

The IPCC’s AR6 WG1 Report published last month contains a lot of useful data and figures for IAM research. The data is available at the CEDA Archive under a Creative Commons CC-BY license, but the formats are quite diverse and not easy to handle.
To facilitate reproducibility and reuse of the scenario data and SPM figures, Zeb Nicholls (University of Melbourne) and Daniel Huppmann (IIASA) launched an initiative to compile the data into a consistent resource-based on the IAMC format. They also wrote several Jupyter notebooks to easily reproduce key SPM figure panels using the open-source Python community packages openscm and pyam.
