Two Postdoc Positions in Energy System & Industry Transformation Modelling, IT:U, Austria

IT:U (Linz, Austria) is hiring two Postdoctoral Researchers in Energy System & Industry Transformation Modelling to join the new research group Energy Transition and Climate Futures led by Prof. Dr. Falko Ueckerdt. The group develops policy-relevant, computational modelling research on pathways to climate neutrality—covering renewable energy, electrification, hydrogen, climate-friendly materials (e.g., steel/chemicals), and the circular economy—working closely with international research partners and stakeholders from industry and policy.

Position: Full-time, on-site in Linz | up to 4 years | start 01 June 2026 (or later)
Profile: PhD in a relevant computational field; strong programming skills (ideally Python/R); experience with collaborative code development (e.g., Git) and publishing scientific work (energy systems/scenario modelling experience is a plus).
