The College of Engineering at KAIST, in collaboration with the Graduate School of Green Growth and Sustainability is offering three tenure-track faculty positions starting August 2024. Successful candidates will be affiliated with the College of Engineering and work for the Graduate School of Green Growth and Sustainability. KAIST is looking for exceptional scholars dedicated to climate change solutions and promoting green growth through high-quality education and research. Ideal candidates will bring innovative approaches that span interdisciplinary technology development and policy analysis.

KAIST is offering three tenure-track faculty positions in the fields of, but not limited to,

  • Integrated Assessment Modeling focusing on Energy and Climate Technology and Policy
  • Techno-economic Analysis of Green and Circular Processes, Products, and Services
  • Climate Business Intelligence and Energy AI

Tasks will include

  • Educating and mentoring graduate students,
  • Working in collaboration with fellow faculty members in interdisciplinary projects,
  • Playing an active role in expanding and advancing the Graduate School of Green Growth and Sustainability,
  • Participating in community and professional activities

Required qualifications comprise

  • A Ph.D in a relevant field (Engineering Systems Analysis, Environmental Sciences, Energy and Climate Systems Analysis, Engineering Economics and Finance, ESG and Sustainable Investing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and related areas),
  • A proven track record of exceptional research and a robust publication history,
  • A scholarly dedication to addressing climate change and advancing green growth,
  • Interdisciplinary Research Skills,
  • A proven track record or significant potential for high-quality teaching at the graduate level (Ms and Ph.D students)
