At PIK – Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research we are looking for a Research Analyst and Research Software Engineer to model the transformation and circularity of energy-intensive industries. You will further advance REMIND Materials, the integrated modelling framework which we use to assess the industry transition of the three basic materials steel, cement, and plastics. It consists of the dynamic material flow analysis model REMIND-MFA which is coupled to our integrated assessment model REMIND.

Position: Full-time | 2 years | start as soon as possible
Profile: Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field; excellent analytical skills & interest in modeling; demonstrated programming experience (ideally R/Python/GAMS); experience with git, collaborative & sustainable code development and clean code is a plus
