The Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC) in Berlin is looking for a Trade Economist (PostDoc) (m/f/d) with a focus on Geoeconomics, Geopolitics and Climate Policy.

The position should support research related to strategic climate policy aspects like carbon border adjustments (CBAM), diversification of energy and resource supplies and supply chains. The position has a strong research focus, involving quantitative and analytical methods, to develop and apply state-of-the art models for policy analyses. The work will be in close cooperation with Prof. Dr. Matthias Kalkuhl (MCC Berlin), Prof. Dr. Joschka Wanner (Uni Würzburg) and Prof. Dr. Christian Flachsland (Hertie School of Governance).
