The Research Department “Transformation Pathways” combines expertise in integrated assessment modeling with state-of-the art research on climate change impacts from the biophysical to the economic level. This offers a unique environment to push forward the understanding and assessment of socioeconomic impacts of climate change and their interaction with mitigation and development. Avenues for direct stakeholder engagement and high-level policy advise give the opportunity to use research results to make a difference.
For a project on geopolitical risks of climate change hosted in the research group on “Macroeconomic Transitions” PIK is offering a
Post-doctoral position (m/f/d)

in the field of climate economics, starting as soon as possible.
The position is funded for 24,5 months. Remuneration is in accordance with the German public tariff scheme (TV-L Brandenburg), salary group E 13. This is a full-time position with a weekly working time of 40 hours per week. The position can be filled on a part-time basis.
