National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) in Tsukuba, Japan, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in computational modeling, quantitative analysis of environmental and economic systems, or related fields. This position offers an opportunity to work with integrated assessment model AIM and contribute to a project at the intersection of decarbonization, the circular economy, and nature-positive transitions. The successful candidate will conduct global-scale modeling of the socioeconomic and/or biophysical impacts of climate change and analyze how these impacts may alter pathways toward achieving international goals, including the 1.5°C and 2°C climate targets.
