The CMCC Foundation is a scientific research center on climate change and its interactions with the environment, the society, the world of business and policy makers.

The Division of Sustainable Earth Modelling Economics (SEME) is looking for new position of bright researchers motivated to work on the defining issue of climate change. Due to an expanded portfolio of projects and its belief in multi/disciplinarity, CMCC is promoting a cluster hiring consisting of several job opportunities in several areas of climate research. For this position of “Data Science on climate and social statistics and scenarios” the successful applicant will work in the context of an ERC project focusing on applying machine learning to scenario ensembles and to a project focusing on the downscaling of economic, environmental and social data – both observed and resulting from modeling – to the sub-national level.

The job location is CMCC Division in Milan, Italy.
