Climate Policy Researcher, Green Energy and Environment Research Laboratories at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI)

The Green Energy and Environment Research Laboratories at the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) in Taiwan is cuurrently recruiting a Climate Policy Researcher as part of the International Decarbonization Promotion Project. The position will focus on international climate policy research and collaboration to support Taiwan’s transition toward net-zero emissions. The role is based in Taipei or Hsinchu, Taiwan, with partial remote work negotiable.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze international climate policy trends (e.g., UNFCCC, CBAM, carbon markets)
• Conduct research and provide policy recommendations relevant to Taiwan’s decarbonization strategy
• Participate in international cooperation projects and stakeholder engagement efforts

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or above in climate policy, energy, environment, international affairs, or related fields
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
• Familiarity with international climate governance and net-zero transition issues

Preferred:

• Experience with climate-related international processes or modelling
• Background in carbon accounting, ESG, or sustainability policy
