There are three open PhD positions in a new research group at the newly founded Interdisciplinary Transformation University in the beautiful city of Linz, Austria.

The research bridges multiple disciplines through computational modeling and quantitative analysis of energy systems, with a focus on transforming heavy industries like steel and chemicals. The group investigates how hydrogen, electrification, competitiveness, and global trade shape change in global climate change mitigation scenarios.

Candidates are encouraged to apply early, as review of applications will begin on a rolling basis. The call will close on 31 January 2026.
