The IAMC is pleased to announce that the Scientific Steering Committee has formally established a new Scientific Working Group on the Responsible Use of AI for IAM Research (AI4IAM).

The group is a collaborative platform for community learning, the exchange of best practices, and the development of formal guidance on how AI is integrated into IAM research. Its core aim is to ensure that AI tools are adopted effectively and responsibly, so that the IAMC continues to deliver transparent, robust, and open scientific outputs aligned with long-term climate policy requirements. The SWG also acts as a bridge between the IAMC and the broader AI research ecosystem, ensuring that AI applications remain scientifically accountable and guided by rigorous human oversight.
